@garonnevik Peace, peace! Wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above.
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,
In fathomless billows of love.
Hope you feel better soon and the tractor rolls on.
Also, if people ARE being deceived, you could ask God to shut the nonsense down. I’ve seen Him do it. It’s as if God wants truth to prevail even more than X does.
You can pray for people you disagree with. You don’t even have to call them names, or tell them they’re heretics. Really.
You can just tell God, “hey, I think Joe is a little mixed up on that one, can you guide him into a better understanding so people aren’t deceived? Thanks!”
There is great healing in deep rest. Many are unable to access true rest; even in sleep they wrestle.
Anxiety is a weapon of the enemy that invades with stealth, and then grows like kudzu in the valleys of our minds.
The Lord is MY Shepherd.
I shall not want.
Focusing on the simplicity of the Who will greatly affect the results of our affliction.
I belong to Him.
He protects what belongs to Him.
He is bigger than anything I’ve ever feared.
He is more loving than any love I’ve ever imagined.
@MikeCosper I have to think, as often as flash flood warnings are sent, if they evacuated the camp every time they got one, they would never have camp. There needs to be a better system. The warnings cry wolf too often.
@racheljwelcher@BethMooreLPM@drewdyck Watching them now at 21, 19, and 17, I’m convinced that because I listened to those who said things like that, I am enjoying these teen and adult years more. I don’t want to go back, except to kiss their cheeks. I love, the now.
@garonnevik I’ve noticed even in the British detective shows I watch, how offering tea is the equivalent to a comfort, or clarity.
We had a tradition we called “chocolate time.” It could be hot chocolate or a few Oreos, but something small every afternoon at 4. It became a necessity.
