@mayaelle10 Great point and I’ve been thinking of this lately too! An affordance of Instagram is the “react” button to stories. I’ve had entire convos because someone’s reacted to my story or I’ve reacted to theirs but we wouldn’t comment on these things irl
@OwenAmmann Yes, that's definitely possible! I think more research needs to be done on the usage of digital technologies and their effects on cognition and behavioural outcomes
A lot of people stated that our attention span is decreasing over time and I agree. I’ve found myself multitasking so much that it’s become hard to sit down and focus on a single task #FutureOfWriting#ccom315
@isabellavalla02 I definitely have! I’ve started tracking how much time I spend on my phone every day and I think it’s helped me be more conscious of what apps I should try to use less

This is probably my favourite article I've written bc it's about a topic I'm extremely passionate about and I was able to interview the amazing @ISoyege #ccom315#315openletter https://t.co/r82WHuMmUP
@mayaelle10 It’s so heartbreaking :( I see light at the end of the tunnel with vaccine rollouts but some people aren’t listening to scientific and medical experts
Both can be damaging for democracy - if the public isn’t able to access accurate information, it won’t be empowered to make informed decisions and hold the gov to account (3/3) #315fakenews
While both are damaging, disinformation involves a more coordinated plan, for instance, state-sponsored media creating a false narrative about an opposition party (2/3)
I try to read articles on different sides of the spectrum and I’ve found it fascinating to see how the same news story can be reported in such different ways (3/3) #315fakenews
