Medical Degrees are complicated (1st 2yrs👇🏼)
5-6yrs of study, exams, practical experience just to start
GPs study at least another 5yrs to become a ‘generalist’, a term loosely used to describe the PA role, but there is no equivalence
A safe ‘generalist’ needs training in depth
I have joined a Facebook group called ‘Rate My Hospital Plate’.
It is truly shocking what some hospitals in the NHS deem healthy nutritious food. Nutrition is such an important part of health and vital to ‘getting better’..

I recently had a friend ask me if I was happy. I told her I wasn’t sure if I was happy but I was sure I was at peace. It helped me realize after spending decades in survival mode, happiness wasn’t my goal-peace was. For some they’re the same. For me, it means I’m rested & free.
Thar’s gold in them thar cells https://t.co/XwYFG0HG6i we pay Prince of Wales £1.5m a year until 2048 under lease signed by Johnson government for Dartmoor prison which is empty, falling to bits, and may never reopen.
Let’s be clear: £15k a week to care for a child is utterly outrageous. I’ve visited these facilities, and there’s no real exquisite support—many of them are not even fit for purpose. Meanwhile, there are exceptional providers offering comprehensive support at reasonable rates that won’t bankrupt local authorities, yet they’re being overlooked.
Abusive ex-partner of Kiena Dawes, who took her own life in 2022 after enduring his campaign of violence, is now seeking custody of their 3-year-old daughter. Kiena’s mum says, ‘She would be absolutely heartbroken to know he’s trying to take her child.

“Leave as soon as you’re disrespected and see the red flags.”
Lisa Gouldson, 46, shares her harrowing story after a brutal assault by her ex-boyfriend, John Brown, left her with broken ribs, lost teeth, and lasting trauma.
Brown was jailed for just 9 months for the attack, which also forced her two terrified children to flee the house.
Lisa urges women to recognise the signs of abuse and leave before it escalates.
She said she has chosen to speak out "so that women can be braver and stand up for themselves".
"My advice is just to leave the situation as soon as you're able. As soon as you're disrespected and you see those red flags, get out of the relationship before it becomes physical or mental."

Today, a devastating report from the @theRCN, based on the testimony of over 5000 NHS nurses, has rightly catapulted the national shame that is NHS 'corridor care' into the headlines once more. (1/n)
Sincerely hoping this appeal backfires and extends their sentences. The complete lack of remorse from Sara Sharif's father for her brutal murder is beyond comprehension.

@StephaniePille7 Global concern, not just British issue. FYI in Texas, just 9.6% of reported SA cases led to convictions. Nationally in US, 975 of 1,000 perpetrators walk free. Justice systems worldwide must do better.
This was part of Kiena’s note that she left on her phone:
“I hope my life saves another by police services acting faster. Don’t let bullies live free. Make sure the person who is tortured is heard. Let them have a voice. I lost my voice to them.”
After the six-week trial apparently it transpired that Wellings' mother and girlfriend were both under police investigation for allegedly "coaching" him to give evidence.
In February 2023, Kiena's family said she was ‘let down’ by police before her death, as officer investigated for gross misconduct ⬇️
