Watching video of the California fires and I can't understand how every house in the area is completely destroyed but somehow these bushes went unscathed. I noticed trees still standing and thought maybe they can hold a lot of water, but the bushes? Maybe there's an irrigation system and they were super saturated? Seems really odd to me.
