It's crazy to me that people could be making plans and decisions about school in the fall without talking to THE TEACHERS.
I can't imagine that the safety and success of the kids and educators actually IN the classrooms is a top priority for such people.
Schools are influenced more by it's informal culture than by their mission statement, policies & procedures. Having strong, supportive, positive relationships, a unified vision, and team mentality is what makes a school great, not the statement hanging in the hallway.
The virus is crazy. Even if the numbers got better people are scared and probably won’t want to send their kids to school. Time to start preparing for virtual classrooms for fall.#CSISCsuccess#decisiontime

TEA is all over the place with the start of school. Hard to plan for the unpredictable. We just need to be ready to modify and adjust. Good thing that is what teachers do best! #CSISDsuccess
Teachers don’t need canned curriculum, new programs, or initiatives to be more effective. They need to feel respected, valued, supported & appreciated. They also need to feel like their talents/strengths are being utilized. This is when morale increases & job satisfaction soars!
There is one thing every classroom needs and that is a highly effective, engaged, valued, and supported teacher. Without this, nothing else really matters.
Looking out for the health of our students is vital as we start next year. But don’t forget the health of your teachers. Many of them are at risk and will be working. What is the plan for them? #CSISDsuccess#letsbeready
Georgia is suspending standardized testing for the upcoming school year & formal teacher evals and are seeking to permanently cut certain tests. This will also save $10's of millions from the budget that can be used toward teacher pay, etc. Let's hope other states step up!

Been a classroom , flipped and virtual teacher. None of those deliveries are the same Face to face lessons and online lessons are not the same. My point: teachers will be overworked trying to prepare for both #letsbeready#CSISDsuccess
