CHART OF THE DAY: Morgan Stanley reckons that more than half of Russian oil refinery capacity is down due to Ukrainian attacks.
Typically, Russia is the world's second-largest diesel exporter - normally around 11% of global seaborne trade.
When women have sex they're sluts.
Women who get married are leeches, nags, gold-diggers, dishwashers, a ball and chain.
Women who have babies are "used up", "stretched out". 🙄
Women who do none of the above are creating male loneliness and destroying civilization. 😂
Older women who are murdered are most likely to endure overkill injuries, where the suspect goes far beyond the violence necessary to kill them. This is because the adult men who target older women are inadequate, rage-filled losers who don’t feel capable of handling a victim who might be more capable of fighting back.
Syrskyi is out. Drapatyi is in. The General Staff faces an overhaul.
Tonight you will hear that Zelensky ‘caved.’ That the street now runs the war. That changing commanders mid-war is chaos.
I see the opposite — and I wrote it this morning: a leader who can be argued back into the right position by his own citizens is not weak. He is governed.
But don’t miss the deeper event. This was never about two men. It was a referendum on military doctrine — the Soviet inheritance of centralized command versus the war Ukraine actually proved it could win: software, iteration, initiative at the edge.
The old doctrine just lost its chief defender.
And look at who won. Drapatyi is the general who once offered his resignation because a Russian strike killed his recruits — he claimed responsibility for deaths he did not cause. In Moscow, generals collect medals for deaths they did cause.
That is the difference between the two armies. Tonight it became the difference between the two futures.
Fedorov’s return is still unresolved. The doctrine question no longer is.
Six days of protest. Zero broken windows. One corrected government.
Democracies argue. That is not their weakness. It is their weapons system.
Liam Bartlett has said that @PaulineHansonOz was being “deliberately provocative “ by wearing a sleeveless dress in a Muslim area of London.
Since when is it provocative
to wear a summer dress in a western country in summer ?
More than a hundred thousand Bornean orangutans vanished between 1999 and 2015. Half the island's population, gone in sixteen years, and the largest single driver is the oil in your biscuit.
Orangutans exist in exactly two places on earth now, Borneo and Sumatra, and both are being cleared at some of the fastest rates on the planet to plant oil palm. Around 350,000 hectares of Bornean forest have gone every year this century. The way it is cleared is the ugly part. The forest is not felled and milled, it is drained and burned. Developers cut channels into the peat to dry it out, then set the land alight, and peat does not burn like wood. It smoulders underground for weeks, sometimes months, throwing up a toxic haze that drifts across whole countries.
In 2015 that haze became one of the worst environmental disasters in modern memory. About 2.6 million hectares burned. On many days that autumn the fires in Indonesia released more carbon dioxide than the entire economy of the United States. A study by Harvard and Columbia estimated the smoke caused around a hundred thousand premature deaths across Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, alongside half a million respiratory infections. The World Bank put the bill at sixteen billion dollars. All of it to clear ground for palm and pulp.
The animals in that forest do not walk away. The orangutan is slow, and it starves among the stumps or wanders into the new plantation looking for food and is killed as a pest. In 2018 one was found on Indonesian Borneo shot a hundred and thirty times with an air gun, then stabbed and clubbed. Mothers are killed and their babies sold into the illegal pet trade. The Sumatran tiger, the rhino and the elephant are being pushed off the same burning map at the same time, each down to a few thousand animals or a few hundred, each running out of the one forest it has.
The culprits are not hard to find. About 85% of the world's palm oil comes from Indonesia and Malaysia, and investigators have traced palm grown on illegally cleared land straight into the supply chains of the largest names in the aisle: Nestlé, PepsiCo, Unilever, Procter and Gamble, Mondelez. From there it goes everywhere. Palm oil sits in something like half the packaged products in the shop, the spread, the chocolate, the biscuit, the instant noodle, the tub of dairy-free ice cream, the very things sold as the lighter, greener, kinder choice.
Almost all of it now carries a small stamp promising it was sustainably sourced. In one recent year the stretch of Sumatra known as the orangutan capital of the world lost more forest than in the previous four years combined. Stamp and all.
Putin has achieved the impossible — he has dragged Russia back to the 1990s.
Russians can no longer leave their cars parked overnight without worrying that someone will siphon off the fuel.
The video shows Russia's latest national pastime. Men in Krasnodar are siphoning fuel from a vehicle before hiding in the bushes to avoid being spotted. Police are now searching for them.
NBC: "Do you believe E. Jean Carroll?"
Stefanik: "No, of course not… The media is so biased. This is just another example of the media being out of touch."
NBC: "It’s not the media, it's a jury that found he sexually abused E. Jean Carroll." (2024)
Hey MAGA Texans.
Let me reintroduce you to Adam Hoffman. He raped his son’s best friend from the age of six years old to nine years old. For three years this man raped a little boy.
Paxton made sure his buddy only got a 60 day sentence. Oh wait it gets better, he didn't even serve the full sixty days.
Wait wait, it's gets even better. He doesn't have to register as a sex offender and his record has been wiped clean.
MAGA maniacs want women to go to prison for miscarriages but are cool with pedophiles going free.
Ken Paxton is a disgusting criminal, that's why Trump endorsed him.
Make sure you have a plan to vote. @jamestalarico is what Texas needs. Not more of the Epstein Class.

Mohamed Abdulraziq dragged a five-year-old girl off the street and sexually assaulted her.
When I referred his sentence to the Government as unduly lenient, the minister disagreed.
That minister - Ellie Reeves - has just been made Attorney General.

NEW: Donald Trump must divulge detailed financial information from his many businesses as part of his $10B defamation lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation, a federal judge ruled during a discovery hearing on Tuesday
The ruling by US magistrate judge Enjoliqué Lett could open a unique window into the hundreds of businesses owned by Trump’s family trust. It also highlights a potential drawback for Trump’s strategy of bludgeoning critical media with multibillion-dollar lawsuits.

Eby: "The United States is a huge market that is impossible for Canada to replace. But at the end of the day, if they don't want Canadian goods, if they don't like Canada, there's not a lot we can do about that. So let's focus our energy on the places that are really excited to trade with us and take this generational opportunity so that our kids are not put in the same situation of being too dependent on the United States."
So let me get this straight. Taylor Farms lettuce gets linked to the cyclospora outbreak. The CEO visits the White House and donates to Trump. Then the FDA says the positive finding was a “false positive.”
Nothing suspicious about that at all.
