@jensmithWSJ I am an aspiring journalist and I saw your bio saying you used to write about culture, lawyers, and the environment. What made you change paths to logistics and supply chains? #j202
@BethBDaley Hello, I am an aspiring journalist and I was wondering how you got into environmental journalism? What made you want to report on climate change? #j202

Do u think AI could solve the biased issue? If we have robots telling us information, do u think it’s possible that their influence is more neutral or even more untrustworthy? #UWj201 #302
@uwaghenckel@davalos absolutely. their job is to win us over and they take every precaution to do so. Using aspect such as the ELA model to effectively change a customers attitude. #UWJ201 #302
@Nathani27175733 exactly! they know how to use the peripheral route very well when it comes to ads. the closer it hits towards home, the better reaction they get. #UWJ201 #302
@JeremiahParana I think the most impact has been through peripheral, yes. People tend to skim over data, but when theirs a visual aid it much more effective. Society needs a fast way to get their info. #UWJ201 #302
@ally_wang4 Definitely instagram as well. It has been interesting to watch instagram grow over the years and the more popular it has become, the more ads i have seen. #UWJ201 #302
Using the peripheral route is definitely the stronger decisions because more people pay attention to what they can see, rather than just data. Does this bring about more bias because they are judging on look rather than factual information? #j201 #302
How much does how we grow up/where we come from play a role in our beliefs? Are we likely to change them as we experience more life or are we always stuck to our parents beliefs? Does that say anything about our generation? #UWj201 #302
@kouri_sophia I think we are so use to getting instant information and always wanting something new that our brains have been wired to constantly seek out more stimulating stories #j201 #302
@kate_gehringer I definitely agree with you! social media has so many algorithms these days so it’s hard to find information that reliable. Also, getting information from social media doesn’t allow for all sources to be followed #j201 #302
@SchillerCate It would be very interesting to see how social media would affect the polling.People nowadays get their information from social media, but I don’t think in the long run it would be a good idea. There’s so much false information within social media that the news can’t control.
@smcrane8 We need to be able to see all sides of a story. Stepping away from our bias and allowing all information to affect our opinion. By seeing both sides we can then get the full picture. However, many people aren’t very open to even discussing opposing opinions.
There’s always an extreme and slight when it comes to political parties. Would evaluating where their information comes from help journalists cover a story? Or would the bias make it more difficult to create a moderate story? #UWJ201 #302
I found the idea of contemporary hybrid media system very interesting. I never thought about how political leaders/people in power would use their social media’s in order to gain news media attention. This was very prevalent in the 2020 elections. #UWJ201 #302
