I love the new batches of students.
Yesterday, after trying and failing to get a computer to take decent microscopy photos, mine said:
“This computer’s also powered by potatoes. Just like all the others in this place.”
Nothing has summed up #academia so well in so long.
If you’ve heard of hand models, get ready to meet your first handle model.
This was the photo our lab manager decided to send to a company to fix our cryostat’s handle brake 😂
This is my life now.
We've been talking a lot about base editing, a remarkable research breakthrough for cancer treatment. But what does it do? And how can help it help more children like 13-year-old Alyssa?

@TheHazelHayes True :) acceptance of an unsure future does help! One way to think is, when you worry/grieve about something that might happen, when it happens, you’ve grieved twice as opposed to just the one time after. Don’t let that thing win: don’t spend your lifetime grieving twice.
