M4 Kayla Imms at the @AmerMedicalAssn#ChangeMedEd conference in Chicago!
Her research on gender & ethnic concordance in clerkships sheds light on how #diversity impacts residency specialty choices. It underscores the importance of having diverse faculty and mentors in #meded.
Finishing up my last week of my OB/Gyn Sub-I on nights! It’s been such an incredible learning experience the past few weeks.
And to end it on an even better note, I am grateful to have been selected for Student of the Year Award in the OB/Gyn Clerkship at my medical school!
Been on Twitter for a minute but thought I would reintroduce myself for #Match2024!
I’m Seema, an M4 at @FIUMedicine. Excited to be applying Diagnostic Radiology!
I’m interested in women’s imaging and imaging disparities. I’d love to connect with other #FutureRadRes!
USPSTF is now recommending breast cancer screening to start at 40. Their last update was 2016. Now USPSTF, ACOG, and ACS all align with screening starting at 40! Such a remarkable impact especially with the disproportionate rates about black women!
Grateful to have been selected for the Hearing Ovarian Cancer Whisper (H.O.W) Medical Student Award for Florida students interested in Gyn Onc! A great motivation boost as I continue studying for STEP 2 💪🏽 Excited for 4th year and what’s to come in the future! @FIUMedicine
BREAKING: The Supreme Court just issued a stay in the medication abortion case, which means that access to mifepristone remains for now.
This is good news, but the facts remain the same: Access to mifepristone should never have been in jeopardy in the first place.
Finished my last shelf exam yesterday, celebrated Eid this morning, and received ACOG District 12 Medical Student Award this afternoon! Appreciate all the support from wonderful faculty like Dr Martinez, Dr Runowicz, and Dr Simpson!
And Eid Mubarak to all those observing💖💓
@sahargar@HarborObgyn Congratulations Sahar!!!! I’m a med student in Miami applying to OBGYN in the upcoming cycle too and also went to UCSD for undergrad! Would love to connect with you 💕
Dr. Lugo Santiago, Dr. Mihae Song, and team identify food deserts in California are associated with worse survival for pts with ovarian, cervical, and endometrial cancer. Important work shedding light on this disparity that needs to be addressed @JeffLinMD@COH_GynOncology #sgomtg #disparitiesincancercare
Extremely blessed to have matched into Orthopaedic Surgery at LSU in New Orleans! Super excited to be training in the same city my dad went to pharmacy school. Thank you to everyone who supported me, I can't wait for everything ahead! #GeauxTigers#Alhamdulillah#Match2023 💛💜🐯
Got to practice how to do an endometrial biopsy on Patient Papaya with the family medicine residents 🤣 love how much additional OB/Gyn exposure I’ve been getting while on both my family medicine and IM rotations the past few months!
