Palestine TV journalist Mohammad Abu Hattab was killed with his family in an Israeli airstrike. His colleague Salman Al-Bashir removes his protective gear marked PRESS on air saying: “We can’t take it anymore, we are exhausted. We are victims. The only difference between us is the time of death. We are killed one after another. And no one cares about the catastrophe or the crime that we endure in Gaza. No protection for anyone or anything. This gear and helmet do not protect any journalist, they are just empty slogans. We are victims, live on air. We are victims awaiting our turn to be killed. Mohammad was here half an hour ago (reporting). Now he lies dead with his family in this same hospital.”
"We cannot mince our words; we have to tell the Israelis: stop the genocide."
Today I spoke at the OCHA briefing on the humanitarian situation in Occupied Palestinian Territory

The level of humanitarian assistance that has been allowed into Gaza up to this point is completely inadequate.
I reiterate my call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire & for unimpeded access to be granted, consistently, safely & to scale.

For the first time since the adoption of the UN climate convention, Parties agreed to introduce #LossAndDamage funding as an agenda item at the climate conference. (1/2) #COP27
I have never seen climate carnage on the scale of the floods here in Pakistan.
As our planet continues to warm, all countries will increasingly suffer losses and damage from climate beyond their capacity to adapt.
This is a global crisis. It demands a global response.
Discussed with PM @CMShehbaz Pakistan's response to devastating floods.
Pakistan suffers—yet has done almost nothing to contribute to climate change.
I urge countries to generously support the humanitarian response, recovery & reconstruction as a matter of solidarity & justice.

Pakistan: UN launches $160 million emergency plan to support response to devastating flooding.
Humanitarians will seek to reach 5.2 million of the country's most vulnerable people with health services, food, clean water & shelter. https://t.co/o3JZF1PW8D
Let's be clear: the Pakistani people did not do this to Pakistan –– we all did, and the high-emitting nations are most responsible.
Unless we end our species' addiction to fossil fuels, every country in the world will remain in the crosshairs of the climate breakdown.
The Pakistani people are facing a monsoon on steroids. More than 1000 people have been killed - with millions more lives shattered.
This colossal crisis requires urgent, collective action to help the Government & people of Pakistan in their hour of need.
Mum & Dad got teary eyed watching this. Maybe I did too. Inspirational win at the Commonwealth Games for Arshad Nadeem. He's made a whole country and it's diaspora proud.
