This is seriously scary. CCTV footage from Gyirong Port in Tibet, China, directly opposite Nepal’s Rasuwa district. This flash flood hit here first and later caused massive havoc in Nepal. Can’t even imagine someone surviving this. Prayers for everyone affected. 🙏

I felt so sad when I saw that poor dog Dodger.
Not because he was dirty, not because of his matted fur, but because of his eyes. The eyes of a child who still obediently sat waiting outside the door, even though the person inside no longer wanted to open it.
The owner said a very short sentence: “He doesn’t listen.”
Then he agreed to hand him over to a stranger with only one condition: “If you can catch him, you can take him.”
I asked myself: How many living beings are being condemned by exactly that same phrase?
“Doesn’t listen” — three words that so easily become an excuse for us to abandon responsibility. With dogs, with people, with the very relationships we once swore we would keep.
Dodger wasn’t disobedient.
He had simply never been taught.
He had never been loved the right way to understand what “listening” even meant.
All he knew was loyalty — the only thing he still had left to give.
And the most heartbreaking part: even when he was abandoned right outside his own home, he still didn’t run away. He stayed there. Still waiting.
When the woman finally managed to catch him, the owner actually came out and helped carry him to the car. I don’t know whether to feel grateful or angrier. At least he let go. At least he didn’t cling to a life just to keep making it suffer.
Then the transformation happened.
Four hours at the groomer, and a pure white coat appeared.
On his first night in the new home, he slept for 15 straight hours.
Fifteen hours.
I imagined that sleep.
For the first time in his life, he didn’t have to wake up in the middle of the night terrified of being thrown outside. He didn’t have to listen for footsteps to guess whether he would be fed that day. He just… slept. Slept like a child who was finally allowed to rest.
In his new home, his “sister” taught him how to play, how to ask for food, how to wag his tail without fear.
He learned all over again how to be a dog.
And I suddenly thought:
How many of us also need to be “taught again” like that?
We too have been told we “don’t listen,” that we’re “difficult,” that we’re “not worth it.”
We too have sat outside the door of a relationship, a job, a family, waiting for a door that would never open again.
And there are days when just one person stopping, looking at us with different eyes, can make life begin all over again.
Dodger didn’t need a perfect new owner.
He only needed someone willing to open the door.
I don’t know the real name of the woman who rescued him. I only know that on that day, she did something very small: she stopped.
And that small act saved an entire life.
Looking at the final images in the video — Dodger running and jumping, eyes bright, tail wagging nonstop — I wasn’t just happy for him.
I was happy because there are still people willing to believe that every living being deserves to be loved again.
Sometimes, saving a dog is not only about saving him.
It is a reminder to us that compassion still exists.
And it is far stronger than we think ❤️
