I think a lot of you saw Paralives as a Sims killer and are disappointed that it has the same/similar bugs and lackluster live mode similar to the Sims 4 at launch (this isn't a diss, I enjoy Paralives and understand it's in early access and has only been out a week)

My opinion on this Desscaras discourse 🧵:

1. Desscaras, as of now, does not have a canonical race, none of the characters in Ichi do. However, this doesn't take away from the fact that her appearance (skin color/hairstyle) is obviously inspired by black women

@LedZaid I've already explained her hair isn't straight but in smaller braids when not in the afro puffs. The artist just chooses not to draw every single braid. You can also see her hair is styled is small braids/locs in her childhood pictures as well

It's not straight, its in individual smaller braids. The artist doesn't like drawing them the same way they sometimes don't draw the cornrows in detail. If you look closely at the cover of her volume appearance, you can see the details in the puffs.

She naturally has long straight hair black people hair is curly to coily we have on average wide noses and thick lips as well. Connrows isn't a sign she's phenotypically black

What I've been finding funny about the Desscaras discourse is the same people making fun of fans for saying she's black because of her hairstyle/texture, turning around and stating that same evidence is proof she isn't black....like huh?
