Unpaid Care and Domestic work is a reality. There is need for mindset shift even in men, in order to lessen the burden of unpaid carebwork. Women become extremely over stretched because they bend backwards to honour cultural expectations.

The summit highlighted that economic empowerment is inseparable from political empowerment. Discussions focused on increasing access to investment, financing women-led businesses and transforming financial systems that have historically excluded women.
The #NalaFemSummit also highlighted the need to tackle technology-facilitated gender-based violence, strengthen women's economic empowerment and build intergenerational feminist leadership.
#NalaFemSummit2026: Discussions emphasized that increasing women's representation is only the first step; equal attention must be given to ensuring women have access to the financial, institutional and social capital necessary to lead effectively and sustainably.
