Everyone is imagining an AI utopia.
A world of abundance. Breakthrough medicine. Advanced infrastructure. Intelligence everywhere.
But that future assumes everything goes according to plan...
Elon Musk is predicting something almost impossible to comprehend:
- By 2031, digital intelligence could exceed the combined intelligence of all humans.
- He also predicts 100M+ humanoid robots, potentially reaching 1 billion.
And his biggest prediction?
- The global economy could be 2× larger than today.
If even a fraction of this happens, the 2030s won't look like an upgraded version of today.
They'll look like a completely different civilization...
@Nekt_0 Uncontrolled AI could indeed bring the doom for humanity. Government were quick to bring stringent regulations for crypto, but not so for AI that pose bigger threat
Humans Are Losing the Internet to AI
Bot traffic has already surpassed human traffic, Cloudflare says.
And its CEO reportedly expects machine traffic could reach 1,000× human traffic within five years.
If that happens, the internet won't just be a place humans use. It'll become a place where AI agents mostly talk to other AI agents.
@NightSkyToday The research does not show that gravity is evidence that we live in a simulation. Rather, researcher Melvin Vopson argues that if his information-based model of gravity is correct, it could be consistent with a universe behaving somewhat like a computational system
@_MegaPolitics I won't be so sure about that. China doesn't have a fully open capital account. Also China's government controls the currency, which is unattractive to other countries
@Fabriziobustama So most of the workforce will be replaced by AI and robots, millions will lose jobs and they will be mostly the consumers, who’s gonna buy all those products made by AI and robots then? Just curious
