@DragonflyJonez You don’t get the 35 footer without the perimeter double. Good call by Brown to have OG inbound. Despite him hitting corner threes he’s still the worst shooter on the court.
@educator4ever36@jenteach13 Always tell my admin to watch my most boring day in class. Chicken, rice, and broccoli every day is what matters. “Please tell me how I can improve.” Make it a team mindset where admin feels helpful. The by product is they look to help rather than criticize.
@tonyannett And that’s a land tax. Most fair tax in the game. “What did you do to increase your property value?” Nothing, usually… best tax in the game.
Jo Facer makes this point beautifully in her book. Students who are impulsive, rude and self-centered in school don’t somehow magically transform into the sorts of valued employees who are considerate, collaborative and helpful. And of course almost everything we accomplish in our professional lives will be accomplished in groups serving the needs of some institution. The valorization of rule-less-ness is a lie and a disservice to students.
San Francisco banned middle school algebra only to bring it back a decade later. Colleges that did away with admissions exams are reinstating them, as more students need remedial courses. The experiment with lowering standards in American education was a dramatic failure.
@educator4ever36@Dashytwo We could be. That’s the point. Why not improve rather than resting on our laurels?
My pushback is that relying on things that have worked seems smart, and often times is. What advancement has happened from sticking to the script?
Just my respectful two cents.
