There was a point in my life when megye wo girl was on repeat whenever I was washing my clothes ,and Melissa was one of my favourites. People would even say I was a Shatta Wale girl, because at the time I didn’t really listen to Stonebwoy much.
The only Stonebwoy song I remember clearly back then was Tomorrow, I watched the video and saw Lydia Forson and thought, okay, this is nice. I think there was also another song of his featuring Mugeez that I enjoyed.Mane Me.
Everything changed when I watched an interview of Stonebwoy with Abeiku Santana. The way he articulated himself, his mindset, and how he carried himself made me see him differently.
That was the moment I became a fan and started listening to his music more intentionally.
But that didn’t stop me from still enjoying Shatta Wale’s music. I simply gravitated more toward Stonebwoy because of how he presents himself and how much he aligns with my personality. That doesn’t mean I have to hate or speak badly about any other artist.
If Shatta Wale releases good music, I’ll listen to it. If he wins or does well, I’ll be genuinely happy for him. That’s what healthy fandom should look like.
It shouldn’t be about wishing one person downfall just so your favourite can shine. It can be healthy comparison, like saying one artist’s sound or artistry resonates more with you, but it should never extend to insults, disrespect, or attacking families or personal struggles.
At the end of the day, we can support who we love without spreading hate toward others.🤝
I don’t have money to offer but I will report till your helper sees it
I will pray for you too, sending you lots of love, hugs and and prayers in this difficult situation 🥹🙏❤️
