Putting this down now, October 19, 2026: I think Netflix buys NBCUniversal. Possibly the whole fucking thing.

Comcast announced the separation on June 29, 2026, targeting completion around mid-2027. Universal, NBC, Peacock, Sky, the parks, all becoming a standalone company.

That’s the announced transaction. Netflix acquiring it is my prediction.

And is this why Peter Rice came in?

With his experience across film and television, running these businesses, integrating them, is this where that experience becomes particularly relevant?
