@RajlIlIl@TheMatchdayHQ He hacked and tried to extort money from people and got caught and sentenced for it . He does it for the money not for good reasons. Obviously a case like this brings notoriety and in many eyes it's probably seen as a good deed but in reality he's still just another criminal.
💡Paul Scholes has just asked the question United fans don’t want to answer. 👀
How can City be condemned for building a football club AND investing heavily around Manchester, while the Glazers have extracted money from United and left the club carrying enormous debt?
If spending and financial sustainability are supposedly about protecting English football, then why is debt not treated with the same outrage when it sits on the other side of Manchester?
United fans can’t celebrate City’s punishment while pretending their own club’s financial model is beyond scrutiny.
Scholes isn’t defending City. He’s exposing the hypocrisy of the debate.
If the rules are about protecting football, they have to apply consistently not selectively.
@indykaila Problem reaction solution
Clubs Want a super league
Fan backlash
City are cheats
Clubs so lets go for a super league again?
Fans - ??
Will the fans fall for this the 2nd time?
@footyinsider247 Wouldn't that depend on their contracts etc. I'm pretty sure if City had to sell them they would maybe be relatively cheaper than the fees paid.
I own a company i want to sponsor fulhams kit. I agree a 50m a year deal. The league says i cant do that. I then agree a deal with man utd for 50m a year and the league says that's ok. That's the rules. Its shocking #premierleague
@RealTolmie@HMRCgovuk If City's real incomings were really lower that would surely lower profit wouldn't it? Are taxes paid on profits?
It's sometimes hard to tell with large companies these days. 😂
Does owner investment get taxed? As far as I can tell it doesn't.
🚨 Several Premier League clubs believe relegating Manchester City to the Championship for just ONE season would NOT be enough punishment.
Executives at rival clubs are pushing for a sanction that could result in City being absent from the Premier League for an extended period.

@sergio_wyk@DaveHo1mes Absolutely but to be fair it's clear nobody can tell the difference between ADUG and the government so why would the people doing the emails be any different 😂
The Panel's Finding: The commission determined that while Manchester City's executive team systematically routed owner equity through third-party Abu Dhabi sponsors to bypass regulations, they did so without the direct personal knowledge or oversight of the owner himself.
