Getting into cybersecurity can feel confusing at first, but you don’t have to figure it all out alone. If you’re searching for motivation, learning resources, and real guidance from someone actively growing in the field, then welcome to my page.
Good morning, cyber community!
Beautiful morning here. ☕💻
Before the alerts start firing and the logs begin piling up, I'm curious...
What are you working on today?
🔹 Networking?
🔹 SIEM & Log Analysis?
🔹 Linux?
🔹 Threat Hunting?
🔹 SOC Labs?
🔹 Certifications?
🔹 Job Applications?

Every expert was once a beginner staring at a screen, trying to make sense of it all. Keep learning, keep building, and keep showing up.

Congratulations! 🎉 Completing Introduction to Cybersecurity is a great first step. Now that you've started Networking Basics, you're building one of the most important foundations in cybersecurity. Stay consistent, take your time with the concepts, and don't be afraid to revisit topics when needed. Keep learning and keep pushing forward
SOC Analyst beginners,
Do you need to know programming before getting a SOC role?
No.
Is it mandatory? Not really.
Can it make your job easier and help you grow faster? Absolutely.
Don't pressure yourself into learning every programming language.
Focus on these:
• Python – for automation and log analysis • PowerShell – for Windows investigations • Bash – for Linux environments • SQL – for searching and querying data
And honestly?
You don't need to become a software developer.
Learn how to read scripts, understand what they're doing, and make small modifications when needed.
Many entry-level SOC analysts land their first role with little to no coding experience.
Your networking, Linux, Windows, and security fundamentals will usually matter more at the beginning.
So if coding feels overwhelming right now, don't panic.
Learn the basics, focus on becoming a better analyst, and improve your scripting skills along the way.
Progress beats perfection.

@yousifjoe16 That's exactly how it starts for many of us. Networking can be frustrating in the beginning, but once the concepts begin to click, it becomes one of the most interesting parts of cybersecurity. Keep going. You're making progress even on the days it doesn't feel like it
Cloud Security or SOC Analyst?
A lot of beginners ask which path they should choose.
Cloud Security
Secure cloud environments
Manage IAM and access controls
Protect cloud workloads
Work with AWS, Azure, or GCP
SOC Analyst
Monitor security alerts
Investigate suspicious activity
Respond to incidents
Analyze logs and threats
Different paths. Different responsibilities.
But there's one thing both roles have in common...
You ain't escaping networking. 😅
Whether you're securing cloud infrastructure or investigating security alerts, you'll need to understand IP addresses, DNS, TCP/IP, ports, routing, and how data moves across networks.
Master the fundamentals first.
The specialization can come later.
@Maskoff023 Im in the journey to master networking to get into cyber security field
At the begining i hate it Networking but over my study it is become easier and i enjoy studying it

LINUX KNOWLEDGE
Which Linux command is used to find all files owned by a specific user and modify their permissions in a single pipeline?
A) find / -user username -exec chmod 644 {} ;
B) ls -u username | chmod 644
C) grep username /files | perm 644
D) chmod --user username / -R 644
Cybersecurity is no longer just networks, logs, and firewalls.
AI is now part of the systems we defend and the attacks we face.
From prompt injection to data poisoning and AI-driven phishing, attackers are evolving fast.
If you don’t understand AI security, you’re only seeing half the battlefield.
Learning AI security is important, too, if you don’t want to be left behind.
The future SOC analyst isn’t just a defender of systems… but a defender of intelligent systems.
