Honestly. Civilians are dying in Ukraine. Children are starving in Yemen. And the people protesting in downtown #Ottawa still have the guts to demand “freedom”? In a country with health care, public education, social services and a democratically elected government?
Russia is waging a war of choice to indulge the ambitions of one man. Ukraine is fighting a war of necessity to defend it democracy, it’s sovereignty, and it citizens.
@irgarner@SolidarityRnwd So the war will only end when Russia is defeated. Otherwise, if Ukraine falls, it will just endlessly continue in other countries until Russia is defeated. So all the help Ukraine gets is not just an effort for a noble and just cause, but also an investment in our own security.
@BobRae48 Ukrainians have been fighting for their own identity, autonomy, and self-governance against Russia for centuries. ANY talk of brotherhood is totally delusional and, yes, completely akin to an abusive relationship.
It's been more than 48hrs since the Moskva sank with 500 people aboard. We still haven't seen any photos/videos of the rescued crew.
What is most stunning we haven't seen a single wife or mother going public about the loss, demanding answers from the Russian government.
@NaheedD While I completely share your frustration, anger, disgust with lack of mask mandates by the government, my public service announcement as someone who just tested positive despite precautions is “just wear a mask”. Protect yourself even if government isn’t mandating you do it.
CityNews: Ukrainian newcomers will have access to OHIP coverage, including mental health services. Drug benefits will also be available through OHIP or emergency income assistance.
#canadianvalues I love Ontario. Welcome Ukrainian refugees!
/2 As #CPA launches its licensure review and #CAPR continues its innovation agenda for evaluation services, let's remember the importance of how we communicate, listen to patient stories and empower a truly shared partnership with those who turn to us for care. #weneedtotalk
Reflecting on an excellent review article on "good" physiotherapy authored by Michelle Kleiner and colleagues. Conclusion? the high importance of the "human encounter" between the PT and their patient. 1/

Now time to also get them off the UN Security Council. No country that launches a genocide and condones war crimes deserves a seat that can influence the world order. At least not in any world order I want to live in.
BREAKING: U.N. General Assembly passes resolution to suspend Russia from Human Rights Council, in response to Russian forces' alleged killings of civilians in Ukraine.
The vote passed with 93 countries voting in favor, 24 voting against and 58 abstaining. https://t.co/WVCaEajSgx

It is ridiculous that the West hesitates to comply with Zelensky’s requests for weapons like tanks, airplanes, and S-300s.
The Russian warmonger is on his heels. The Ukrainians are winning. We just need to give them the tools to finish the job. https://t.co/wydOrCMk66
