can we skip ahead to the point where the novelty has worn off about animating/transitioning every single interaction with every device/site? looking like a 2003 powerpoint presentation cannot be the pinnacle of UX design in the 2020s. surely we can do better?
just had some "smart" light switches installed, and their default behavior is to faaaaaadddddeeeee the lights on and off. it's more than two full seconds after hitting the off switch before the lights are actually off.
current gen @samsung phone has 5 camera lenses, none of which can be used to take still pictures unless you grant access to microphone and bluetooth... π
