The park has a large rentable structure for things like weddings. Sohi says the park is important for future neighbourhoods being built in the area. The opening date is August.

The rally for Linda Beardy has walked to Winnipeg Police Headquarters after starting in the middle of Portage & Main. They were banging on the windows and chanting. They are calling for an independent investigation into Beardy’s death. @ctvwinnipeg

RCMP say they arrested the head of a drug trafficking ring. An RCMP investigator was also arrested as part of the operation for leaking enforcement plans. Around $2.5 million in drugs and 19 firearms were seized. I’ll have more details on @ctvwinnipeg at Six.
