Memphis men’s bball’s Julius Thedford and Mason Matthews — along w/ Tigers women’s bball HC Alex Simmons & players Daejah Richmond and Brooklyn Alexander — helped families in need grocery shop tonight at Kroger on S. Mendenhall.
Event was collab between Tigers, Kroger & PepsiCo.
Here’s a look at new Memphis 6’8” sharpshooting wing Mason Matthews (@MasonMatthews32).
Matthews - who is transferring over from D2 Lane College - is a spot-up specialist. He shot 46% from 3PT off the catch (45/98) with an excellent 1.32 PPP off the catch.
He operated out of spot-up situations on 81.3% of possessions. Matthews will be on scholarship and adds depth to the wing position.
