I’d love to see a healthcare conference panel of BIPOC women that wasn’t about diversity, equity, etc. We are actually knowledgeable and have expertise and experience with other topics, too.
It takes *17 yrs* for research to change practice.
But pain medicine doesn't even keep up with THAT 😶👎🏼
Since 1965, we've known that pain is emotional, social + environmental - NOT just physical.
SIXTY yrs later, we still treat pain with 💊💉🔪

@agordon55 I agree. On the last trip to San Diego, about 4-5 ppl wore a mask, including myself. Same thing on the flight to Everett. I still got sick (dry cough and fever) for 3 weeks.
