@JasonFieber Very interesting indeed. My uninformed, but speculative thinking, is that to be 'paler / lighter' for asians indicates not having to work in the fields. For us, it implicates a life of leisure / ability to pursue skin cancer at will. Got to love contrasts. Would love to know more
