@KevHughesie Intertoto game against Celta Vigo at the hawthornes. He clapped us and we booed him over the Boro rumours. His face turned to disgust and he’s disliked us ever since.
Schoolboy error. Should have gone to the curry stall run by the white guys, their food’s amazing. The bloke that serves you looks like prison kitchen staff straight out of Oz or Blood In Blood Out which makes the experience even better.
El show post-partido.
Agree with parts of this thread. Lots of Midland glory hunting Villa fans like me. If I had the heart to have done armed robbery, GBH and scaffolding, I’d have been a regular down the sty. Instead I turn up to Villa games every 5 years.
There’s a fascinating dynamic you see with some Aston Villa fans... not all, but a noticeable proportion... where their attachment to the club seems to come less from roots or community, and more from a need to feel superior to their peers. 1/6
Our long term success depends on 12pm kick offs because if Blues come up and get an 8pm kick off, VP will be burnt to the ground and their animals will see that as a healthy rivalry
🚨 This was Emi Martinez after Aston Villa's last home match of the season.... @JournoHaff, who was at the match, says Martinez was in tears for several minutes at full-time, taking the atmosphere in.
People take the piss out of Spurs but Villa are the Spurs of the Midlands. Massive bottlers, negative fans like me. Only difference is that we shit ourselves if a ticket costs more than £30 as we’re impoverished
I feel as though, admittedly as an outsider to Spurs, that them finally winning a piece of major silverware, a European trophy to get back into the Champions League at that, whilst also finishing 4th bottom with 19+ league defeats would be the most Spurs” way to end a season.
@SellersTonys I was surprised with your style. Thought you’d play in between the lines and carve us open like PSG but instead you played percentage footie like Stoke.
PSG Away - I have asked the French Police if there are any areas advised for Villa fans to stay within Paris.
The answer I received was... no there are no preferred areas. St Michel area is very nice , there are hotels and pubs but this may be expensive.
