There are millions of Canadian Boomers like me. We are voting against Carney. We are voting against Liberal corruption. We are voting for our children and grandchildren. Our lives are mostly lived and we have no desire to be selfish.

We are Voting Conservative. We are voting for @PierrePoilievre and I did so yesterday.

The term Boomer seems to have moved a little beyond being defined by a generational cohort as far as this election goes.

Its now perhaps more descriptive of those who want to blindly trust institutions and those who have let Canadians down for a decade. They want to put Canada's future in the unknown "safe pair of hands" of a man who has not even lived in Canada for 12 years and whose homes are in America and the UK.

These are the people who have perhaps inherited money and property from their harder working and often heroic parents and grandparents.

They are not prepared to sacrifice any part of their own Golden Years for the greater good or the country and for young people in particular.

These are the same people who threw the lives of young people under the bus during the pandemic because of their own irrational fears.

I'm a Boomer but have none of the above traits. I don't blindly trust institutions. I would be considered financially successful but have been given nothing and have worked hard my whole life. I have kids in their 20's and late teens about whose future I am deeply concerned.

This is a pivotal moment.

Voting Conservative is the only answer.

So it would appear @MarkJCarney is now just fine with Canada continuing to be 100% reliant on the United States to purchase all of our oil and gas, and to purchase all of the fuel used by Ontario and Quebec from the U.S. through Line 5.

This is absurd, irrational and anti-Canadian in every respect. It’s also the exact opposite of what he promised while in Alberta a couple of weeks ago.

Does he want Canada to be strong, prosperous and independent or not?
