@Grxit It's a simple fact. Legally, you are buying a license. You own the physical disk. You do NOT own the game on it. They have the legal right to revoke said license at any time.
We should own our games whether physical or digital and advocate for that right. That is the point.
@DrakeVagabond Thing is, Nioh is so fantastical they could have gotten away with just making Yasuke a samurai.
Yet even Nioh ended up with a more accurate Yasuke then Shadows, while making him infinitely more badass.
@DAKKADAKKA1 It was LOUDLY praised as not only a great game, but a much more accurate representation of the Fallout universe then Fallout 3.
What's with this revisionist history nonsense from pc gamer?
@ZeeHero1@DAKKADAKKA1 While you do end up with different chapter cultures its always understood that the west coast brotherhood is THE status quo and Elders deviate at their own risk.
@Creetosis22 Beyond that, it makes for a better *video game* and that is what should take precedent anyway.
Regardless, it can be done. It has been done. Blaming incompetent writing on players having agency in-game, is crazy.
@heratic96 The issue with the "Phase does nothing" joke is that the meme is just incorrect. It implies Phase succeeds because everyone else burned themselves to the ground.
In actuality, Phase wins because they improved and put out their own fire.
@RinoTheBouncer@KiraFG_ The AAA space is a small sliver of super high budget games which involve genres where combat is likely or expected. Like summer block busters and action.
As far as gaming as a whole, however, there have never been more combat-less games to play in history.
@KaiKai2492 They'll say they want to play Souls for the story, when the story largely is embedded within the gameplay of dying and rebirth. Even the fact that the enemies respawn is part of the story. It's designed to be experienced through the challenge of the gameplay.
@Grown_Otaku@The_Weeb_Crew Is it a good and virtuous position to label a product that appeals to men as "toxic"?
It's unfortunate that, no matter what, it always comes back around to demonizing the "Male Gaze".
@ShitpostRock The only problem with the initial response to Cyberpunk is that more buggy, unfinished games should be trashed as hard.
It was a rare, appropriate response from a customer base that usually shills and runs interference for these devs and publishers like its their job.
@HkonMk Indie games usually have smaller budgets, but that's not what that means. "Indie" references the level of creative automony.
Many independent ventures are paid for via bank loans. They are still independent. The Empire Strikes Back was independent and it was over 40 mil.
@IvanNeal7@TheDarkEnjoyer Saying the talent is unwell is a HIPPA violation. Even if its stated in the vaguest terms.
That aside, the company shielding the talent is part of the benefit of being in a company to begin with.
@Jokingskull1025@AmarisYuri@canis_nix In "corpo" Termination can mean the contractual relationship is over, regardless of how it occurs.
The Phase statement does mention the contract not being 'renewed', suggesting the contract was at it's natural end and they parted ways, not an early end/firing.
@Elsydeon@neevin Sakana can't make her publically apologize. The company can't do anything to formally acknowledge the account in question, let alone what was said on it
The fact that this is a Vtuber agency and a doxxed account complicates things more then the Asmon scenario.
@Thrash476@Muj_in The fact that it's a 1,000 pages means nothing. It doesn't mean any of it has weight or validity.
A document this long is a tactic. It's meant to appeal to people like yourself who will look at the length and then dismiss ANY criticism unless the critic addresses all 1000 pages.
@Sudharsan_AK10 The arguments are disingenuous.
Clark was one of the most efficient players in college history, but the people making these arguments didnt give her credit even then.
One of the best guards, defensively, but they say her defense is always "very poor." They are deranged.
@District22FC They are not sports fans. At most they are fans of WBB as a vague general concept. Those people dont fill seats or spend money. You're supposed to golf clap and "celebrate" every player equally.
So of course experiencing an actual sports crowd is terrifying to them.
@Wankstablook MVP is indeed more then just stats.
Of course, that only strengthens the case that Clark should have been MVP over Aja. The case for Aja WAS purely her stats, namely her scoring. Meanwhile her team did worse then the previous year post season.
@Tyfunk98 People act like defense wasn't a team wide problem last year.
Bad team defense is on the coaches. Even the better defenders on the Fever couldn't excel under Sides system.
