Biggest moron on the platform (probably). iOS Jailbreaking stuff. Openly Autistic.

Some good news for those of you who want to block updates.
Apple has decided to be nice and share a refreshed tvOS 26 beta profile - one that now expires on May 20th, 2027 (just under 1 year from today)
You can get the new profile at https://t.co/aR2YaDzwO5 (same url as before)
there's some jank with it (resolvable but annoying) - also causes issues with installing Apple Intelligence and can't be treated separately with Apple Watches (e.g. can't block just Apple Watch or just iPhone)
That being said, DNS profile does still have one benefit: Apple TV's (which can't use the tvOS profile for... obvious reasons)
As we approach WWDC 2026 and iOS/iPadOS 27, it’s time to finally talk about something of future importance as we get to 27.x
Assuming nothing changes, Delayed OTA’s will no longer work as they currently exist, and will generally be impractical to actually utilize on 27 and later.
How do we know this? Apple’s own iOS/iPadOS 26 enterprise notes - available at https://t.co/Bk6iW5JSvM
Specifically, as follows (see the bottom 26.0 section):
”Software update management using mobile device management commands, restrictions, the com[dot]apple[dot]SoftwareUpdate payload, and queries is deprecated and will be removed next year. Going forward, software updates can be managed and enforced using only declarative software update management”.
(To clarify, the system that is actively used that people are familiar with is a restrictions profile with a certain number of days set as the restriction).
Now, for anyone wondering ”what is declarative software update management?”, it’s a newer thing that - on top of being very different (though obviously still supporting 90 day delays for businesses, obviously) is only available with an MDM, and not just traditional supervision.
To not go on a long long tangent, MDM’s are generally a paid thing, usually meant for stuff like schools/businesses and whatever else. While there are a very small handful of free options, they are - to put it mildly - extremely trash (and some of them may still not even support this new update system).
There is a potential lifeline here though (though we don’t know for certain yet, and we won’t know fully until 27.0.1 or whatever): this change probably only will apply once you’re actively on 27.x or later.
What this potentially means is that, as long as:
- You are still on 26.x (or lower)
- OTA’s to a major version are still supported from your current version (minimum to OTA to 16+ is iOS/iPadOS 13, for reference)
you’ll likely have one final opportunity to use delayed OTA’s in a reasonable manner once 27+ is the only available option.
Not related, but to overly summarize where I have been: life is an abnormally busy thing - should be more free relatively speaking again hopefully now?

I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be interning at Apple this summer, starting in a week!
To the friends I've made and the people I've learned from along the way: thank you. This wouldn't have happened without you.

De Rebus Antiquis on the iPhone 4S (with 6.1.3 blobs). This means that every iPhone 4S can enjoy untethered downgrades to any version, as 6.1.3 (upgrade blobs) is signed.
A few hours ago, Dopamine 2.5 beta 3 was released, adding support for jailbreaking A11 and lower* devices on 16.7.16-18.7.1.

@Aesthxticz_ correct, arm64e support is still limited to up to 16.5(.1) as of right now
this is *expected* to increase to 17.3.1 at some point in the future
(I love when stuff releases while I’m at work)
Notes:
- Dopamine 2.5b3 (just like 2.5b1/2.5b2) is a beta, and there may be issues that don’t occur on the latest proper release (2.4.9)
- The DarkSword kexploit is known to not work on iPads with 2GB of RAM on 16+ (iPad 5th Generation, iPad 6th Generation, and iPad Pro 9.7”), this also means 16.7+ support remains unavailable for these iPads.
- 15.8.7/15.8.8 are still not supported on A8(X) iPads
Late follow-up to the follow-up from earlier:
- palera1n works on arm64 devices on all new releases
- Dopamine (2.5 betas) should work on supported devices on 16.7.16, but an update is needed to bump version
- Dopamine (2.5b2, supported devices) and TrollStore work on 15.8.8
Update: 15.8.8/16.7.16/17.7.11 are safe (vs 15.8.7/16.7.15/17.7.10, all it does is fix the notification bug that was used for extracting Signal messages in that one noteworthy instance.
Also palera1n works on 18.7.9 (though don't update to 18.7.9/26.5)
regardless of whether or not it works, reply to the above post with:
- the device you tested (e.g. iPhone 6S)
- the iOS version (e.g, iOS 15.6.1)
- whether or not it worked
Following up on the last post I made almost a week ago, let’s do something more general - does Dopamine 2.5b2 work with DarkSword for you for anyone with the following devices:
- iPhone 6S/6S Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 8
- iPhone SE 1st Generation
- iPod Touch 7th Generation
