Geminis are beautifully radical intellectuals, easy-going, long lasting, effervescent, beat uplifting friends formed in Neverland (God's townhouse) outta need.
not all of it ages well, but Janelle gave us a world centered around a black butch sapphic bisexual non-human lady fighting for liberation over SEVERAL projects during Bush & Obama eras, a decade b4 afrofuturism & surrealism was mainstream again, happy #pride
Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs, Navy Blue, and Jalen Ngonda are all dropping albums tonight, and we just got Imani Imani's great debut a couple days ago too. It's a crazy week for music...
I can already tell Vince Staples' album is going to be really special. The singles and music videos have been incredible and powerfully written. This project feels like a statement and a piece of art that's more impactful than just a regular album. His last 3 albums have also been unbelievably good, with Dark Times being one of my favorite albums of all time, and I already know we're gonna be having conversations about how special his last 4-album run is after this drops.
Freddie Gibbs is dropping a deluxe to one of my favorite rap albums of 2024, "You Only Die 1nce", which has been teased for a while now. He dropped the 3-pack of singles from this deluxe last week and they were all pretty good.
Navy Blue has never disappointed to release impactful and poetic music, and I have no doubts he's going to do that again with this new album "Sir Render" (Surrender?). His last album dropped less than a year ago now and it was easily one of my favs of 2025. As soon as I heard he got a new album dropping this year, I've been heavily anticipating it.
Jalen Ngonda only has 1 album out so far that dropped in 2023, but that album's never left my rotation because of how soulful and retro it sounds. He sounds like he was born into the wrong era, and I love that. Bringing back that 70s soul into today's age and doing it so well too. When I first heard his music, I remember being so damn shocked the music was released recently and wasn't decades old.

I don’t find anything funny about Bob Barker, someone many black people grew up watching, being so racist that he didn’t want to touch black contestants.
Not to mention the fact that everyone working on the show knew about this and actively worked to help him avoid black contestants
Sorry.
