@MasterchefAusUk @masterchefau Brent may have won the title but Declan won hearts and minds. His friendship with Robbie and that totally selfless act when he helped Theo. We tragically lost Jock , we joyfully gained Declan.

@MasterchefAusUk @masterchefau He was my favourite. He was so willing to learn and experiment. Think at one point they could have advised him better - they seemed happy to give others advice generously. Such an instinctive cook. Lovely chap.

And like every season on @masterchefau we all have those we root for. My favourite for the season was Declan. The man who delivered some top notch fish dishes 🐠 and always so positive. And when he helped out Theo, what a top man. Hoped he would go all the way.

After the passing of the wonderful Jock, I wasn’t sure I could watch the most recent series of @masterchefau but am glad I did and have just caught up with it all now. I think it was a fabulous season and over the next few weeks, I want to post about it and share your views.

I can’t stop thinking about Jock Zonfrillo’s children, his family. So many are plunged into deepest grief. My heart goes out to them. And I hope their wishes for privacy are respected.
