@Braves @Wcontreras42 This 1 was totally unnecessary. It filled no needs and may come back to haunt us. Contreras’s upside and bat alone was worth holding on to and allow him to develop. Pretty big haul for another starting C. Good for Willy tho. He’ll finally get a real chance to play daily.

@scottcoleman55 Would’ve liked this trade if the Braves were able to offload Ozuna’s salary. Would’ve liked it even better if we filled a position of need. Murphy is good but we already have Travis and he and Contreras had better offensive seasons and Contreras’s upside is sky high. Just 🤔🤷🏽‍♂️

@camo26 @GabeBurnsAJC Good question. Probably depends on the team bidding for him and if you value current production or career. If it’s current he should get at minimum $15-20M. I probably wouldn’t go past $15M myself unless it’s a bad team that needs a quality player with some star power.

@camo26 @GabeBurnsAJC Dansby’s situation is totally different than locking up a young player. Although he’s bee a good player early in his career his inconsistency didn’t warrant buying out his arbitration years. The past few seasons he’s performed to his potential so he should explore the FA market.
