Rob Adams has become RL's oldest debutant following his appearance against @CanadaRL on 2 July, aged 50. The @RLNorge prop can't hang up his boots just yet, though, if he wants to become the game's oldest international.

He easily surpasses @Kangaroos Sandy Pearce, who played his final Test at 38 in 1921, and two players in what was a vintage year for vintage leaguies, 2018. At the Emerging Nations event that year, Gareth Janes (45) represented Hong Kong while Amane Konishi (48) played for Japan.

However, the oldest international on record is Gyula Herpai, who played for Hungary against @CzechRL aged 51 & 7 days (debuting at 47), also in 2018.

Rob dedicated his appearance to Emil Grindheim, one of Norway's best young RL talents, who tragically passed away a couple of weeks ago in a swimming accident.

IRL salutes all these players and every veteran player still enjoying their rugby league!
