That's where the scissor broad jump comes into play! Balance is a big part of this sport, because if you lose your balance in the real-life version, you would fall into the icy Arctic Ocean 🥶

Their participation brought the rich cultural heritage and unique traditions of the Māori people to the MIG stage.

Last week, MIG and ISWO went to Enjdat in Mexico for a cultural celebration, building connections, and sharing Arctic sports.

We also signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding to continue working together on cultural exchanges and Indigenous sports opportunities 🙌

At MIG 2025, we had the privilege of the Embassy of Mexico in Canada bringing a traditional Mexican ball game to the Cultural Village! 🇲🇽

This incredible demonstration gave attendees a unique glimpse into Mexico’s rich cultural heritage 🙌

Here, Arctic sports lead Kyle was explaining the one-hand reach while some of our athletes showed the crowd how it's done!
