@MrTimDunn@AvantiWestCoast Had this a lot lately—excess A/C condensate in the hot weather appears to be frying the circuits and TM can’t always restore.
@an0n_Nic “Welcome to Zimbabwe, please remain seated until the aircraft has come to a complete stop and the Captain has switched of the seat belt signs…” 😉
@hellothisisivan Feeling a bit similar about the number of supposedly well-informed people taken aback by the unique appearance of the 10 on the PM’s front door. Where have they been for the last 60-70 years?
@intel_lady This is exactly what happened! In the 60s the Ministry of Works ran out of zeros while refurbishing the buildings on Downing Street. Has stayed that way ever since.
The number of politically well-informed folk surprised by the look of the number “10”, as it has appeared on the PM’s front door for 70-odd years is remarkable.
@mhdpartnership Neatly and eloquently put. Don’t disagree with a word of it—my only quibble would have been to use ‘horrified’ where Thomas uses ‘scared’.
This neatly articulates something many of us feel—it isn’t distaste for the design outcome, its grave concern for what the design outcome says about how nationalisation is being approached and, in turn, what that implies about the future of the service.
