The man's name was Sa'id. He was a jurist and ascetic who studied in Mecca and Medina. Who also happened to travel all the way to China !

There is no evidence as of yet that he has converted. Yes he prayed in the mosque (a lot of westerners like to participate in the ritual) , he praised Allah. But becoming Muslim is announcing the Shahada. We should simply not take Turki’s word for it, as trustworthy that guy maybe. Is there any certificate like the one he produced for the other crew members? The last thing we want to do is promote his Islam and he comes out saying that all religions are true or some other abomination.

Please correct me if there is any evidence of his Islam.
