Out latest solar-powered "SentiFlora" sensor/actuator IoT station is finally battling the elements (smoke/pollen/rain) ⛈️ for our early adopters.
While @SentinusTech 's grower's assistant 🌱 is primarily focused on helping greenhouses; it can also be used outdoors in specialty farms to maximize output and gain back valuable time.
We are confident it will pass the test 🤞 & will report back soon!
For those who are curious, this version of SentiFlora can:
- Automate irrigation zones based on soil & weather data
- Actuate almost any industrial irrigation valve
- Power pumps for those who have water reservoirs
- Communicate with 8+ industrial agricultural sensors
- Update itself "over-the-air" & cloud data logging
- Self-Power for 1+ week without sunlight
- Act as a "hub" for 20+ wireless long-range sensors

@ChiefAcorn@CorderoConnor@LamarMK Dont know about Florida but in Northern climates where road salt is used, all rear-facing cameras get covered if you don’t have a washing system.
@arya_jahan98@ItsKimJava@Tesla_AI I have learned not to buy “future promise”. Tesla is impressive and so is Elon but Elon’s also a hype founder that doesn’t accomplish his visions on time.
It is what it is, Elon sets aggressive timelines for his teams, stresses them out to the max and they are always late!
@arya_jahan98@ItsKimJava@Tesla_AI 173k kms in. Battery is still above 70%.
Original range was 380-something kms. Now less than 298km rated range.
Real-world 90-10% is less than 200km range, much less in winter.
@arya_jahan98@ItsKimJava@Tesla_AI I appreciate the advice. I don’t have enough evidence AI4 computer can handle our potholes and winters either.
My issue is my ‘19 Model 3 SR+ is off battery warranty and only has 1.5 hours of range on the highway. Can’t make it between supercharging stations in winter😢
Elon mentioned “micro factories”. As a business I would not be able to justify that until HW4 unsupervised FSD is so good that demand skyrockets.
In my climate (Canada) HW4 still doesn’t have the hardware (rear-facing camera washers) to run unsupervised year round. ‘28-‘29.
I’m trading in my HW3 for a HW4 this month knowing full well it is not capable of unsupervised year-round in Canada.
@arya_jahan98@ItsKimJava@Tesla_AI I thought it was just a training/software issue but since they haven’t been able to solve such a simple use case in over 7 years I’m now convinced it’s a hardware limitation.
@arya_jahan98@ItsKimJava@Tesla_AI Yes, much better on HW4 with the Samsung cameras that can handle the flickering of the LED traffic lights.
HW3 can’t handle it, which was what I was getting at.
@arya_jahan98@ItsKimJava In Québec we have “flashing green lights” to turn left, and the car does GO-STOP-GO-STOP…
I’ve driven HW3 FSD for 7 years and the cameras still can’t handle flashing lights. It’s a hardware problem.
😞
@ChiefAcorn@LamarMK From November-March, salt sticks and covers the rear-facing cameras within 2-3 minutes of driving.
Car wash live while driving on the salty highway?🤷♂️
@LamarMK It’s one thought, unsupervised really going to work without auto-washing cameras or human intervention?
Doubtful, unless the weather is perfect…
