2/2 Imagine if good ideas were allowed to come from any side of the chamber.
We’re stuck in an old political culture that rewards noise over nation‑building. Time for higher standards on both sides. #auspol
1/2 Australia deserves better than the performative sledging we keep seeing. Just watched the PM’s morning presser — wall‑to‑wall point‑scoring, zero thought leadership.
In any corporate environment this behaviour would be unacceptable, yet in Parliament it’s normal. #auspol
@kayosports_help why has the resolution on the live channels and tiles dropped back to 720p. 4K on the F1 replays looks great, but everything else is a mess. Cricket looks appalling. Known issue?
@beerboy182@NRL Not much better - Family of 4 last year v cows $251 - (Peter Burns), this year v Chooks I got family 4 ET upper $260. Equivalent family ticket vs. Souths at Moore Park last year (row 2) was $97.45.
FWIW I'd still rather pay 2.5x the price and have the boys play at home. #upup
@newscomauHQ I work hybrid, predominantly at home. I’m more productive. I support local businesses. I volunteer at the local footy club, I’m a more present father. Seems like a much better outcome for me and those around me.
@ChrisMinnsMP Those poor teachers are too scared to provide honest feedback to their school executive, let alone DOE folk. Will they need to pay for their own photocopying and teabags too?
@mrbargearse I think about this a bit, since he's a local junior and I live right near Chad Townsend oval. I'd like to think that it's temporary - there's no love lost in the throws of competition - but when he finishes his career hopefully he'll be welcomed back with open arms as an old boy
@suthodan Team is shaping up! Would be nice to have had a few more double headers scheduled with the men's team. Hopefully the NRL gets a bit smarter with aligning draws next year.
@Matty98491131 @BulldogRitchie@dailytelegraph@RaidersCanberra Genuine question, I always assumed GIO stadium was linked to the AIS and the Raiders benefited from Fed Govt funding for facilities down there?
@cmail_sport@badel_cmail Real rivalries aren’t just geographical boundaries. They’re created through years of tight contests and passionate fan bases trading blows. Battle of Brisbane is just the invention of a lazy marketing department looking for an easy win.
@JeremyClarkson@Bluefire1John I wouldn’t park my ‘petrolhead car’ on a narrow verge of muddy field. I’m travelling to the UK later in the year, what’s the loudest most annoying thing I can rent to drive up and visit?
@DaveRic1@Erin_Molan@cronullasharks@telegraph_sport Ronnie is an absolute champion of a human being, no player (or anyone for that matter) should have to put up with this. An enquiry should extend to what impact sports betting (particularly try scorer markets) is having on driving this sort of behaviour.
