Greer (he is the American trade representative) said, "French wasn't an issue in the talks", instead pointing to CRTC rules requiring U.S. streaming companies to make financial contributions toward Canadian content. (The CRTC requires online streaming platforms to pay into a fund supporting Canadian content). Are you following so far?

Trump posted on social media that he would "never interfere with Canadians speaking French" and called the idea "such a stupid thing". (So even Trump thinks this whole talk about attacking French language is stupid)

The liberals are trying their best to control the narrative and with it the internet and streaming services. There was never a threat to the French language or Canadian culture. Carney has riled Anglo and Francophones alike under a lie.

But we conservatives are clearly uneducated, too dumb to go to the two sources and actually get to the heart of the matter. But you keep waving the flag and calling Americans and Canadian conservatives stupid.

All I ask is that people look at who wins and who loses. Carney wins over Quebec voters and secures a future majority liberal government with the french vote. Canadians at large will suffer due to this trade war escalation all for one parties political gain?
