As a former athlete I get a lot of the same fulfillment in competitive gaming as I did athletics and I can confirm it is all the same mentally lol.
This is 100% true but I know for some of you it's easier said than done. Try to notice the real reason why you get so frustrated or dejected that your body can't even hold on to that energy anymore because it doesn't look pretty when your body has to deal with your stress lol.
