It’s #BellLetsTalk Day - a time to keep having important conversations about mental health, and of course raise some money too! Mental health challenges affect us all. RT this to support programs across the country.
@blawrie13 Find someone who can look at the complete pattern of dysfunction. Your nervous system has chosen not to let the adductors and medial hams relax, b/c what needs to activate when they relax, simply won't. This can be effecitvely resolved - no foam rolling required. IG @mat_hughespt
@blawrie13 Common culprits for the tension that won't resolve in your medial hamstrings and adductors would be your ankle/foot region. Also, have your current therapist test your other side as well, are both sides effected? Then it is likely a lumbar spine or cranial dysfunction.
@blawrie13 Brett if you'd like I can fix this for you, or refer you to somebody who can. Performing treatment techniques that address muscle tension like ART may help temporarily, but in my experience they are not sufficient at assessing and treating the root cause of the dysfunction.
