Really appreciated the feedback I got from the usability tests in class. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh pair of eyes to point out design errors you are sometimes too biased to see. I feel much more confident in my e-portfolio now, I hope you all feel the same! #UFProfComm
Immediately thought of this class when I came across this tweet...everyone make sure you are double-checking word choice and having others look over your work too! Especially when it comes to things like a professional website that is out in the universe forever #UFProfComm
While too much editing can cause the intended effect to be lost, I think one of the most attractive features of a podcast is the way it sounds to the listener, so heavy editing might be needed in some situations to attract an audience #UFProfComm
The podcast on roundabouts reminded me of the previous podcast about Norman Doors--both focused on user-centered design. For example, this weeks podcast said intersections are designed so we don't have to decide when it is safe to cross, outside cues should be obvious #UFProfComm
Reading the discussion board posts made me realize that no matter how different the challenges in each professional field are, they all have one thing in common: the need for effective written communication skills to those within and without the workplace. #UFProfComm
#UFProfComm I thought about who the intended primary reader of this post was. Even though seems like it would be her mother, it was most likely for her followers to see instead. I see posts like these often and now I have a different outlook on the true intentions of them.
#UFProfComm While on social media this afternoon I was considering primary, secondary and tertiary readers. I came across a birthday post from a girl to her mom, but her mom does not have Instagram so she will likely never see it.
