BOYCOTT @benchtm
how can a national filipino clothing brand actually still accept a literal criminal to endorse their brand???????? whoever is behind this from bench also deserves jail time.
@Rally__vincent@dahtgirl_ajex I'm a Filipino living in the Philippines, no relation to US politics.
That story is very common here, licensed professionals getting menial jobs abroad. It is very common for doctors to work in the US as nurses for better pay. The US does not recognize our education from here.
@drterrysimpson This comment section is just said, people believing what they want to believe without empirical evidence. You already explained how data changed weekly but they seem to have missed that part.
This scene is suffering from what I call “Dorian Pavus Syndrome”.
For those of you unaware, Dorian Pavus is a character in Dragon Age:Inquisition who is a pretty cool dude. He’s suave, intelligent, calculating, everything you could want from a mage character. He’s also gay. Whatever, he didn’t really seem to make a big deal about it at first and I wasn’t planning on romancing the dude, so I didn’t care.
However, his character quest is where I saw the first examples of the current issues with scenes like this. His entire character quest is us going out of our way to talk with his father about reconciling the complications of being gay and being the oldest son in the family. They could have done anything else that may have included this theme, maybe some espionage where you discuss this in the middle of waiting if you REALLY wanted to talk about it. But no, we go to a tavern and talk about Dorian being gay, because that’s his central character trait now.
Not only this, but this is in the midst of what’s basically an archlich amassing an army with a ZOMBIE DRAGON, and traveling to talk to Dorian’s father takes time, time in which you can assume this hell on earth is amassing forces. We could be taking steps to prevent this, but no, we gotta talk about Dorian being gay.
Were this some simple adventuring party with a slice of life angle, I would be fine with this quest, but you slapped it in the middle of an apocalyptic scenario and flanderized your own character in the middle of his first appearance. That’s where my issue lies.
This scene reeks of that as well. If they really wanted to do this, they should have focused up and allow Will to come out when there is downtime to his friends, but they went out of their way to do this when things are probably dire, and that’s what gets people annoyed. Idgaf if he’s gay, the world is at stake!
Know how to address your themes appropriately and people would accept them more. When you make it THE thing to talk about, it annoys people because of this clear pedestal you want to place this on.
I now await the swarm of people who will go “holy yap” and not engage with my points at all.
@scorsaguin@ITSYABOISATANAS 💯💯
Pero I disagree with #3. Hindi ba prerogative naman ng filmmakers kung ire-release nila sa streaming platforms? They do it to earn more from the film din.
Since BTOB has so many hit songs, actress Nam Jihyun requests to hear <Someday> which is not in the setlist.
Hyunsik's strong belting echoes in the whole arena even after Minhyuk pulls away the mic. Everyone gives him standing ovation.
@the_pearl_lover@manayleila Please don't be like the DDS. Leila was given the same protection back in 2017. It was her choice to leave the senate premises to surrender.
Huwag tayo sinungaling.
