I’d qualify “refusing to find out” as arrogance. Ignorance is generally unintentional. Ignorance implies you didn’t even know there was anything to find out. Arrogance is your brain refusing to remove rigid constructs.
If you tie down any land animal and torture it physically. The phonetics of their speech is often universal. Consistent among most mammals. When I cut open this dog [jason walks over to a table with a dog strapped to it and slowly stabs it over and over while maintaining eye contact with Matty] notice how it’s screeches are loud, unpredictable, unevenly distributed and at times abnormally high pitched compared to it’s usual bark, or say it were an elephant, it’s trumpeting. [Jason walks overs to an elephant and does the same thing while never breaking eye contact with Matty] You see… there are certain aspects of our nature that just can’t be changed. Certain manners in which we react that we cannot control. If the elephant could grab a knife to attack me back to ensure the safety of its own well being would it be rational to do so?
Given my personality Noah was able to predict my reaction that night. That I’d forget and once I did nobody would remember. He wasn’t surprised the morning after. He acted casual.
(For the record I think hurting animals is bad and I’m literally just playing the role you gave me)
Have a wonderful day.
Fauci: YOU’RE INSANE!
Jason: So then I suppose it would make sense to plead insanity.
Fauci: FUCK YOU!
Jason: I bet you’d like to you elitist creep.
Fauci: You have no idea what’s coming your way!
Jason: Neither did your daughter.
Anon: I commemorate you for your help but I have no further business with you.
Jason: I commemorate you for putting my ideas into action. However, you are not integral to the movement. You are just a gangster with connections. There are many like you. What you’ve failed to consider is that they may be my connections now.
Anon: I’m losing my patience.
Jason: Then allow me to move things along. [Jason shoots anon in the head]
Hegel was a Napoleon dickrider who merely elaborated on schellings work and surpassed him in status when they weren’t even his ideas. (At the beginning of his career) He idolized people rather than being inspired by them. If Napoleon was defeated by (in Hegel’s own words) “mediocrity” then one can assume Napoleon must have been mediocre himself. Greatness doesn’t fall to mediocrity now does it? He was destroyed by Russian tactics and failed to consider weather conditions. He lost because he failed to consider weather conditions. A true strategist. 🙄
Philosophy fucking sucks man.
This whole “reason + passion” unable to live harmoniously argument is bullshit. It also just translates to “logic and emotion” not being able to live harmoniously. Some philosophers think emotion/passion is weakness. Fuck em.
Majority of the “great” philosophers of the 17th and 18th century were verbose. I’m reading Hegel and these thoughts could be explained in a far more concise manner, also the vernacular they chose to use was targeted towards the educated. This rhetoric would not work outside of academic settings. It’s pompous.
