The biggest part was when she told him that sometimes the hardest thing isn’t changing it’s accepting that you’ve changed.

This conversation mattered because Zuko spent most of his life chasing honor from others his father, the Fire Nation, even his ancestors. But Toph basically forced him to realize that redemption isn’t something people hand to you instantly. It’s something you live with every day until your actions finally outweigh your past.
