The Nutrition 774 Initiative Strategy Board has adopted a domestic financing model as the sustainable foundation for nutrition investment in Nigeria.
This is just as Chairman of the Board, Vice President @KashimSM, has charged the remaining twenty-seven states that have not inaugurated their State Councils on Nutrition to close the gap by doing so.
The board also mandated the Federal Ministry of Finance (@FinMinNigeria), and other critical partners to embark on a robust stakeholder engagement programme in order to activate existing financing instruments, including the Presidential Nutrition Intervention Fund (PNIF) and the Sugar-Sweetened Beverage (SSB) levy ring-fence, as funding streams for nutrition and related interventions in Nigeria.
These were among the decisions taken on Wednesday during the 2nd High-Level Strategic Board Meeting of the Nutrition 774 Initiative, chaired by the Vice President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
On the milestones achieved in the operationalisation of the initiative, the board noted the importance of the Nutrition 774 Initiative as the primary governance vehicle for delivering nutrition outcomes at scale across all 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Nigeria.
President @officialABAT has observed that social life in Abuja, the nation’s capital, is gradually returning, while criminal hideouts are disappearing.
He attributed the development to good governance that delivers security, mobility, and dignity, just as he applauded the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), @GovWike, for delivering on the assignment he gave him to make Abuja a true capital city.
Speaking on Friday in Abuja when he commissioned the Collector Road CN2 from Arterial Road N16 to Arterial Road N20, including ILS 5, in Katampe District, the President, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, said the road will cushion the daily struggle of the citizens.
“My fellow residents of Abuja, we did not stop at the road. We installed solar streetlights. Today, Katampe is safer at night. Abuja’s real life is coming back. Criminal hideouts are disappearing. That is what good governance delivers: security, mobility, and dignity,” he declared.
The Nigerian leader highlighted the significance of the road, noting that it “links Katampe and Mabushi Districts and connects them to major road networks.”
Michelle and I loved reading to this bright group of kids today!
We hope this new Chicago Public Library branch at the Obama Presidential Center will be a place where folks come to read, check out books, and connect with one another for years to come.
Road construction is far more than what meets the eye. Before the public sees a smooth, well-paved highway, teams of engineers undertake extensive surveys, geotechnical investigations, structural analyses, hydrological studies, and rigorous quality-control procedures.
When a road project is conceived, designed, and executed by professional engineers under the leadership of an engineer-commissioner and an engineer-governor, the outcome often reflects the precision and discipline of the profession. The result is infrastructure that can stand comparison with projects delivered by some of the world's leading construction firms in terms of quality, durability, and functionality - yet achieved at a remarkably lower cost through efficient planning, prudent resource management, and technical expertise.
Engineering excellence is not merely about building roads; it is about creating enduring assets that serve generations.
Earlier today, I joined Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and other dignitaries at the National Mosque, Abuja, for the funeral prayer of Hajiya Fatima Ladi Binta Musa Musawa, mother of the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa.
Her passing is a painful loss to the Musawa family and all who knew her. We take solace in the legacy of faith, dignity, compassion, and service she leaves behind.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to Hannatu, the entire Musawa family, and all loved ones mourning this loss.
May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljannatul Firdaus, and grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, ameen.
In this image, we do not simply see a sanitation worker, a citizen, and security officers.
We see an entire nation united in worship.
Each fulfills his duty in his own field, yet they stand together before God with no ranks and no titles.
This image captures the true meaning of Saudi Arabia:
Security that protects, work that builds, citizens who belong, and faith that unites them all. 🤍🇸🇦🕋🙏👏

With profound sorrow and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we received today, Tuesday, 9th June, 2026, the news of the passing of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Ibn Saleh, the Emir of Gazargamu.
Today, another distinguished chapter in the long and illustrious history of the Kanem-Bornu civilization has closed. His Royal Highness has joined the ranks of his noble forebears - the revered monarchs, statesmen, scholars, and builders of one of Africa's oldest, most sophisticated, and enduring systems of governance south of the Sahara. Among these immortal figures are the legendary Mai Idris Alooma (Aisami K3ri Ngermami), Mai Ali Gaji Zainammi, Mai Ahmad, Shehu Umar Ibn Al-Amin El-Kanemi, Kaigama Kaami, the Zinari Bumburum, Kaigama Zubairu (maiye meyu kainz3 fari findi), the great Sayfawa Mais, and the venerable Kuburi Sheikhs of Kanem-Bornu whose leadership, wisdom, and vision shaped the historical, cultural, and political foundations of the peoples of present-day Borno and Yobe States and beyond.
These illustrious ancestors stand as the genealogical and civilizational pillars of a vast region stretching from Yunusari to Yusufari, Askira-Uba to Gulani, Biu to Geidam, Bama to Bursari, Kala-Balge, Chibok, to Machina, Yerwa to Hadejia, and far beyond. Through their legacy, they bequeathed a rich heritage of governance, scholarship, justice, and social organization that continues to inspire generations.
We pray that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of His Royal Highness, envelops him in His boundless mercy, illuminates and expands his grave, and grants him eternal abode in Aljannatul Firdaus
The passing of the Emir marks the end of a significant era in the history of the modern Gazargamu Emirate Council. His reign was characterized by dignity, wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people. His contributions to the preservation of tradition, promotion of unity, and advancement of his Emirate will remain an enduring legacy for generations yet unborn.
May Allah (SWT) grant comfort and patience to the bereaved royal family, the people of the Gazargamu Emirate, the government and people of Yobe State, and indeed the entire Muslim Ummah May He grant them the strength, fortitude, and faith required to bear this profound and irreplaceable loss.
Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin.
