@walsh_coman I thought she was primarily interested in observational data about galaxy rotations, without pushing any theoretical interpretation.
To me, that's her legacy.

I prefer seeing sines and cosines as complete chords in a unit-diameter circle, rather than projections with an endpoint floating in mid-air as in a unit-radius circle.

Continuous paths (like equiareal square-to-rectangle shifts) carry full dynamic geometry; an adjacency graph freezes this into discrete relations, favoring particular orientations of the transformed geometric shapes.

@YasiriKhaldoun Yes, William Jones introduced that perimeter ฯ notation in the 18th century. Yet, for the ancient Egyptians, the ratio that mattered was the ratio ฯ/4 of the area of the circle compared to the square of the diameter.
