We have this confused that if you are an expert in your field you magically know how to teach. Teaching is an art where it takes intentional work to perfect your craft.

It's not rocket science but it's no accident when it's done well.

@k8roulette2 I taught a math methods class and would stay in touch with my students during their student teaching assignments. At least 90% of them asked why they needed so many math classes, when they really needed classroom management and methods classes.

@minilek @Stanford Should we also point out the conflict of interest in someone being on the CMF committee while also publishing their own curriculum for profit. This gives Boaler a HUGE advantage over other publishers. How has no one called out "insider trading" aspect of this?
