It’s a colonial Act that every president vows to repeal and never does because it’s too useful to whoever’s in power

@Space2013M @WithusMasunda You requested I share the “constitutional provision” that backed my claim that protesting is a right. That constitutional provision is article 21. The Public Order Act just covers the notice period which we both agree on. It’s doesn’t enshrine the right to assemble.

@aquila_fpoz_ I agree. But I do think that untill our electoral process reaches a point where it’s fully transparent and credible, it will be hard for candidates to accept the results at face value. So I don’t blame the candidates but the process which allows so much room for doubt

@CeeMulengah @Space2013M The deadline is Day 7. Using Day 7 isn’t late it’s the entire point of a deadline. If a school report is due by midnight, submitting at 11:59 is still on time. If the teacher locks the submission portal at 11:58, that’s the teacher blocking you, not you failing to submit
