@AtkinAnnabelle @drcriss_salinas I think it is more important to explain what term you are using and why over saying one term is always right. I work with youth that identify as Latinx so to write about them as Latin* feels like I am imposing an identity on them and not honoring their voice.

@YehCathery When I see the table I think about what about indigenous cosmologies - then think of the power of Rochelle Gutiérrez article Mathematx. I do believe if more people read and grappled with the article it would improve math education as a whole.
Our esteemed consulting editors are critical to the publishing of Multiple Voices. Each month we are excited to highlight an MV consulting editor to show our appreciation of their service and contribution. It is our pleasure to spotlight Dr. Mildred Boveda! @mildredboveda
@SportsCenter Sounds like Kirk Cousin is scared to win a super bowl and has already given up being at peace that he will never win one - poor Vikings they deserve better.
@mdrzavala @benjamindickman @CKalinecCraig @thewordninja_bk That would be a really cool paper - Also I did poetry this week using the template I created from my YPAR work with Elm-PST and next week I am using the TODOS/NCSM statement on social justice as a spring board for my students to make hiakus as a way to reflect on the reading.
@mdrzavala @benjamindickman @CKalinecCraig @thewordninja_bk This reminded me of a project I started in 2017 that now I should revisit - this might be my new lesson plan for next week now
@lamadcorral That is really interesting and is making me think about the same. It is probably all the individualism we see everyday because of capitalism - then it made me think of this image I saw way back when
I wanted to say I don't think I fully understand how this whole Twitter thing works or is it that for some reason I am against the use of hashtags or is it that secretly I am a Twitter expert - who knows
@lamadcorral When I read hashtags are organization tools - it hit I grew up with a distinct hatred for being organized and more recently I got my life right where I am quite organized. So this "return" to Twitter will I suppose be different #newworld#eyesopen#hashtags
Unless we all work to change not just math but ourselves. Thus to not be part of the problem means to work to dismantle, rebuild and remember that math should never be a weapon against the people - Math is already alive in us - there is no such thing as a non-mathematical person
Math is not the problem. the problem is how math was transfromed by capitalism, sexism, racism & other forms of violence used to oppress. So we & the math education system are the problem & we are guilty in perpetuating the weaponizing of math as a tool against the people unless
